What does Mobi-Shower offer?

Mobi-Shower provides portable shower and toilet units for hire across South Africa. Our mobile units are purpose-built for outdoor events of all sizes — from small camp sites to large-scale sporting events and multi-day festivals.

Where do you operate?

We operate nationwide across South Africa, with fleets based in Centurion (Gauteng) and Cape Town (Western Cape). We deliver and set up wherever your event is held.

What types of events do you cater for?

We cater for a wide range of outdoor events including mountain biking, cross country races, marathons, motocross, quad biking, 4×4 events, rallies, camp sites, tent cities, and general outdoor events.

How many portable toilets do I need for an event?

As a general rule, provide 1 toilet per 75 guests for overnight or multi-day events, and 1 toilet per 100 guests for shorter events. For events with shower facilities, allow 1 shower unit per 25–30 guests. Always factor in event duration, food and drink consumption, and whether units will be serviced during the event. Contact us for a tailored recommendation based on your specific event.

How does portable shower hire work?

1. Submit a quote request with your event details — delivery date, collection date, location, and number of guests.
2. We provide a tailored quote based on your requirements.
3. Confirm your booking with a 50% deposit.
4. Our team delivers and sets up all units on site before your event.
5. We remain on standby 24 hours a day throughout the hire period.
6. Units are collected at the agreed time after your event ends.

HIRING & BOOKINGS

How do I get a quote?

Complete our online booking form with your event details — delivery date, collection date, number of guests, and delivery address — and we’ll get back to you with a tailored quote.

What is the minimum hire period?

The minimum hire period is one (1) day.

How do I confirm a booking?

Once you accept your quote, a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due on the first day of the hire period. Payment details will be provided with your quote.

What are your payment details?

Mobi-Shower banking details are available upon request.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 14 days before the scheduled delivery date. Cancellations made after this period will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Can I hire a portable shower and toilet together?

Yes. Mobi-Shower offers combination shower and toilet trailer units in a range of sizes — from small combo units to large multi-stall trailers. All units are available on a flexible hire basis with delivery and setup included.

DELIVERY & SETUP

Do you deliver and set up the units?

Yes. Our team delivers and sets up all units on site. Please ensure someone is available at the venue to accept delivery and to hand over the units at the end of the hire period.

What happens if there are delays during delivery or collection?

A standing fee of R200 per hour (or part thereof) will be charged for any delays experienced during delivery or collection of the hired units.

What utilities do I need to provide on site?

You will need to provide a standard water connection (garden hose tap with 20mm fitting, within 30 metres of the unit) and a 220V/15A electrical plug point. If neither is available, we can arrange Jo-Jo tanks, a water truck, and/or a 5.5kW standby generator as additional options.

EQUIPMENT & MAINTENANCE

What is included in each shower unit?

Each shower stall includes a stainless steel shower head, 2 stainless steel water taps, mirror, 2 windows, self-locking door, hot and cold running water, non-slip hygienic floor grid, and seamless white aluminium interior and exterior walls.

How is hot water provided?

Hot water is supplied by 2 x 16L gas water heaters running off 2 x 19kg gas cylinders, providing continuous hot water throughout your event.

What if something goes wrong during the hire period?

Our team is on standby 24 hours a day. If you need maintenance assistance, contact us by phone and we will have someone on site within one hour.

Who is responsible for the units during the hire period?

The hirer (lessee) is responsible for the safekeeping of all units during the hire period and will be liable for any loss or damage, excluding normal wear and tear.
